Balephi Hydropower Limited (BHL) is a Nepali hydropower company that owns and operates the 36 MW Upper Balephi 'A' Hydroelectric Project, a run-of-river scheme in Jugal Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk district, Bagmati Province, developed under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model. The project has a gross head of 208 m and a design discharge of 20.80 m3/s at Q40. Commercial operation began on 2079/08/06 BS (November/December 2022), and power is evacuated via a 22 km, 132 kV transmission line to the NEA substation at Lamosanghu. BHL signed a long-term power purchase agreement with the Nepal Electricity Authority on 15 December 2015 for contracted energy of 38.62 GWh (dry season) and 174.21 GWh (wet season). The plant supplies electricity to the national grid.
