Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS), known as NEFINSCO, is a Kathmandu-based finance company and is the first finance company established in Nepal's private sector. It was incorporated under the Company Act on 2049/05/14 BS and licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank as a Class-C financial institution. Its head office is located at New Road, Kathmandu. The company was an early introducer of products such as hire purchase and margin lending in Nepal. It was declared a problematic institution by NRB in Mangsir 2071 BS but resumed normal operations from Mangsir 2076 BS under new promoters and management. It later acquired Lalitpur Finance Limited and began joint transactions from 27 Ashad 2078 BS.
