The two companies signed their merger agreement in Ashad 2079 (mid-2022) at a share-swap ratio of 100:80 and commenced joint operations on Falgun 29, 2079 (March 13, 2023). Following the merger, 2.62 crore unit shares were listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) for trading under the symbol SALICO in May 2023. The company underwrites general insurance lines including property, motor, marine, engineering, and miscellaneous covers. It received an ICRANP issuer rating of [ICRANP-IR] A in June 2025.
